The Short Version

Songbird Strategies is an independent legal technology advisory firm. We do not currently earn referral or affiliate fees from any platform we recommend. We evaluate platforms based on fit for the firm, not on any commercial relationship with the vendor.

Some of the platforms in our directory are platforms we implement for clients. In those cases, we are compensated by our clients for implementation work, not by the platform. This page explains how that works.

How We Work With Platforms

We evaluate legal technology platforms independently and recommend them based on fit. Our platform directory includes platforms we have implemented for clients and platforms we have evaluated but have no active client engagement with.

Filevine is a current example of a platform we implement but have no referral arrangement with. We recommend it to firms that are the right size and complexity for it based entirely on fit — not on any fee from Filevine.

How Our Recommendations Stay Independent

Because we have no referral or affiliate relationships, there is no financial incentive to steer recommendations toward one platform over another. Platform recommendations in our audits and engagements are based on the firm's size, practice area, workflow, budget, and existing tools.

If we establish referral or affiliate relationships with any platform in the future, we will update this page and disclose those relationships explicitly on the relevant platform pages before any referral links appear on this site.

FTC Disclosure

In compliance with the Federal Trade Commission's guidelines on endorsements and testimonials (16 C.F.R. Part 255), Songbird Strategies discloses that it currently has no material financial connection to any platform it recommends. If that changes, this page will be updated accordingly.
