Commercial Relationship Disclosure
The Short Version
Songbird Strategies has one commercial relationship. We are a Clio channel partner: when a firm we refer signs with Clio, and when we implement it, Clio pays us a percentage of the contract value. We have no paid relationship with any other platform on this site.
That relationship does not decide our recommendations. Clio is the wrong platform for plenty of firms, and we say so when it is.
How We Are Paid
Most of what we earn comes from our clients: intake audits, platform implementation, and advisory work. The Clio channel partnership is the exception, and it is the reason this page exists. If a recommendation could pay us, you should know that before you act on it.

Each platform page and directory card states its own relationship. Anything other than Clio and Clio Grow reads "No commercial relationship," and that is accurate: those platforms do not pay us anything.
How This Affects Our Recommendations
We recommend MyCase, Smokeball, PracticePanther, LEAP, CasePeer, and others when they fit a firm better than Clio does. None of them pay us. We implement Filevine and are paid for that work by the client, not by Filevine.
We also review existing Clio subscriptions for right-sizing, including removing add-ons a firm is not using. That reduces what we are paid.
We do not describe ourselves as vendor-neutral. We have a commercial interest in one platform, we disclose it wherever that platform is recommended, and we make recommendations on fit.
How Clio Links Are Labeled
Where a link to Clio may result in payment to us, the platform directory and the Clio pages carry a disclosure alongside it. We do not place a Clio link without one.
FTC Disclosure
In compliance with the Federal Trade Commission's guidelines on endorsements and testimonials (16 C.F.R. Part 255), Songbird Strategies discloses its material connection to Clio. We have no material financial connection to any other platform on this site.
